With Schock whipping the band into shape at rehearsals, the Go-Go’s Thou Shall Not Come For Mj Mood 24 7 Shirt became the house band at the Whiskey a Go Go, opening for acts that passed through. After Madness played the club in December 1979, the English ska band invited the Go-Go’s to open for them and The Specials on a UK tour the following spring. Although desperate to visit ground zero of the British punk scene that birthed them, the band wasn’t particularly well-received by audiences across the Atlantic.
